Accommodating individuals of varying backgrounds, cultures, ethnicity and talents in varying fields of knowledge is just one aspect of diversity. Providing incentives, encouragement, a challenging environment and opportunity for every employee to empower the best capabilities from individuals of varied backgrounds and talents is my view of diversity.
Performance systems, development plans and education plans play a significant role in achieving the main goals and objectives of diversity as established by the company. Ascertaining the individual's aspirations - both professional and personal and aligning them with the corporate environment will greatly enhance the success of a diversity program.

When one of the greatest documents in history was signed, the US Constitution, Benjamin Franklin stated:
"I don't entirely approve of this constitution at present. I am not sure I'll ever approve of it. But I am also not sure that I am right. I have lived a long time and the longer I live, the more I begin to doubt my own infallibility, the more I begin to respect the judgment of others.
We've collected together men, who not only have great wisdom but also prejudices, selfish views and local interests. From such an assembly we can't expect a perfect production.
It astonishes me that we have come as close to perfection as we did. It will astonish our enemies... who think of our separate states coming together only to cut each others throats. So... I consent to this constitution because... I expect no better and because... I'm not absolutely convinced... that it is not... the best."
